Edgar Wright - Nicest guy in Hollywood

Posted by websitesarelovely on Thursday, 8 March 2012

Back in January, my sister bought me tickets to the BFI screening of Shaun of the Dead - presented by Edgar Wright and friends - which just so happened to be on my birthday. I was over the moon.
Due to scheduling conflicts (Simon Pegg filming a little film called Star Trek 2) - Edgar was unable to make the screening back in the UK, as the pair of them were writing the 3rd film in The Cornetto Trilogy

They both did the Q&A session over Skype and it was great to hear the process of writing / directing and getting the film out to the audience, and it was great to see the film again on the big screen.

To cut a long story short, Edgar read that it was my birthday on Twitter, and as an apology for missing the screening he sent me a signed Scott Pilgrim poster! Another example of how he's got the reputation of being the nicest guy in Hollywood.

Thank you very much Edgar.

You've Got Red On You - Shaun of the Dead print

Posted by websitesarelovely on Tuesday, 6 March 2012

I had an idea for a Shaun of the Dead poster a few months ago, to celebrate The Cornetto Trilogy, and last week I got to bring it to life at my screenprinting class. The design uses Shaun's cricket bat as a Flake 99 in the Cornetto, with one of the best bits of dialogue from the film 'You've got red on you' in the background. The screenprinted finish brings an extra element to the print, with imperfect colour and 'bleed', that fits well with film.

I'd love to to get these endorsed by Mr Wright, and if he wants to use them for any screenings or events, then please get in contact, and I can get them printed.
